When we become interested in another language, in poetry, music, or traditions different to our own, a new world opens up to us. 

Join us on the 27th of July in Halle Saale for an evening of cultural exchange!

Organised by Olena, the GEZUMI peer support group facilitator in Halle Saale, this event invites everyone from the community to come together for an evening of art, music and more. Olena will open the with an introduction into Ukrainian culture from her perspective. Following this, a dynamic and diverse programme of art, video screenings, poetry readings and musical performances.

As part of the programme, renowned Ukrainian artist Maryna Shkarupa, will display her latest works. The photo project “Code of the Ukrainian Woman” by Anna Libova and Nataliya Timoshevska, featuring 12 Ukrainian women from different regions of Ukraine, each sharing her own story of escaping the war, her happy life in Ukraine, and life in German society, will also be on show.

Musicians with German and Ukrainian backgrounds will perform during the event.

This multimedia, intercultural evening invites everyone together in celebration of community, and appreciation for cultural exchange.

The event will be held in two languages: Ukrainian and German.
